Last year, Beaches Energy Services joined the Florida Municipal Solar Project – a joint initiative of the Florida Municipal Power Agency (FMPA) and public power utilities to bring sustainable solar energy to Florida residents.

We are all aware of the winter storms over the last week that have crippled many parts of the country, forcing rolling – and sometimes prolonged – blackouts in several states, wreaking havoc on the electric and water infrastructure in Texas and leaving hundreds of thousands without power in bitter cold and icy conditions in a historic crisis.

While last year brought unique challenges and circumstances no one could have predicted, the Beaches community banded together to overcome. As we head into what I hope will be better days for many of our customers and employees, I’d like to take a moment to look back at everything the Beaches Energy team achieved in 2020 to make the year brighter for our customers.

Beaches Energy has received a national commendation from the American Public Power Association for its support in electric power restoration efforts in The City of Plaquemine, Louisiana.
