CARE Program Receives Additional $30,000 in Funding

City of Jacksonville Beach increases funds to help customers in need

The City of Jacksonville Beach is contributing an additional $30,000 in funding to our CARE (Customer Assistance Relief Emergency) program to support and enable our citizens to more easily deal with financial stresses caused by the COVID-19 crisis.

The CARE program is a Beaches Energy Services outreach initiative that provides financial assistance to residential customers in our community who are qualifying senior citizens, disabled, low income, or experiencing an unexpected financial hardship. The program allows an eligible customer to receive utility bill assistance up to $500 in a 12-month period.

Annually, this program receives $60,000 through the generosity of our customers and City contributions.  With the additional funds provided by the City, a total of $90,000 is now available to customers who may need additional assistance during this unprecedented time. If you have questions about eligibility or how the program works, please reach out to our customer service team at 904-247-6241.
